So Mattel is a sponsor of NY Fashion Week this year, and it’s also the 50th anniversary of the Barbie doll. Thus, the Barbie fashion show was born. Lots of fab designers created outfits inspired by Barbie (and more than one of the models looked exactly like a real-life version of her… creepy), including Diane Von Furstenburg, Zac Posen, and Alexander Wang. Some of the outfits were spot-on:

Michelle Obama looked absolutely fab today, didn’t she? Both dress and coat were designed by Isabel Toledo, a relatively little-known designer. (Well, not for long.) Yellow was a ballsy choice for January, but she totally rocked it. Can’t wait to see what/who she wears to the ball tonight!
