Happy Tuesday everyone. Figured I’d try out a few weekly recs of things to do this week, rather than making you feel bad about all the fun I had with my week that you didn’t have. I’m nothing if not a giving person afterall.

Here we go then.

1. The Hangover: So good. Just see it.

2. Red Sox-Yankees: So yeah, you may not be able to get tickets, or afford them, but you can still watch the game on TV. I’m sure by now you can all appreciate the sentimental bias this blog has towards one of these teams, but you should still tune in if you like baseball, because regardless of the fact that they’re two of the best teams in baseball, there’s also just the history and rivalry and all that jazz. Besides, we’ve beat them five times in a row now. Would you want to miss 6, 7, or 8?

3. Burn Notice: I’m pretty sure I’d love this show anyway, even if it didn’t have Bruce Campbell, but it does, and that makes it all the better. Just a smart, fun, well written show, and they’re only one episode in to the season. Just go online to the USA channel website and watch it right there, then start watching it. If you haven’t seen an episode, don’t worry. It isn’t that hard to get in to it, and if you really need to know more, just look it up on Wikipedia.

4. The Boston College Flynn Recreation Complex Pool: I work there now, so I feel like I need to tell you to go there. Unless no one else is in the pool. Because if no one else is in the pool, the lifeguards don’t need to work, they get to go on break. If you get in the pool you ruin that. And then I ruin you.

Yelling at Teenagers: My teenage years may not be all that far behind me, but that doesn’t mean telling a bunch of obnoxious 15 year olds that no, you can’t flip sideways off the diving board to try and land right next to someone, isn’t fun. So go out there, and give those young punks a piece of your mind.

More fun to come later this week, hopefully.

P.S. – Justice prevailed in my own personal Cold War. I’ll tell you about it if you ask me in person.

So I know that this is a little later than it probably should be, but whatever, I don’t start work for a week, I’m still on vacation. Who are you to judge me?

Overall the Con was a lot of fun. This is my second year going, and I can definetly see it becoming a thing to do for as long as I’m in Boston/it goes on, which hopefully both are for quite a while. By no means am I an expert on cons, this being only my second ever, but lack of experience/knowledge has never stopped me from inflicting my judgement on things before, why now? I figure I’ll just break things up, so you can skip ahead, or read one part now, another later, etc. I’m always thinking of you dear reader. At least, if you’re actually out there. (more…)
